🔍 AI in Action - LinkedIn and AI: Shaping the Future of Work

LinkedIn's goal is simple - to give every worker in the world a fair shot at success. Over the last 15 years, they've used AI to connect people with jobs, learning opportunities, and each other. But they're always looking to do more. That's why they've started using advanced AI and large language models to give users more control.

At LinkedIn, it was the engineering and data teams led by Ya Xu who made all this happen in a speedy three months. They made a 'LinkedIn Gateway' where engineers and product managers can play around with AI models from OpenAI and Hugging Face. This way, they could see what these AI models can do and get inspired.

They also held a big Hackathon, where different teams at LinkedIn could work together and learn from each other. And they built the Generative AI Playground, a space where engineers can use LinkedIn data and cutting-edge AI to make cool new things.

Education was a big part of the process. They held meetings and sessions to get everyone up to speed on the AI tools they were using. And they made sure to keep their AI responsible by checking all the AI-generated content to make sure it's good quality.

Introducing AI-Powered Tools for Users

LinkedIn's AI progress expands from experimentation into their products, led by Tomer Cohen, Chief Product Officer. They've introduced AI-powered collaborative articles so users can share knowledge. They've also made a tool that gives personalized suggestions for LinkedIn profiles. This makes it easier for users to show off their skills and experiences.

And for recruiters, there's the AI-powered job description tool. It's a useful feature that creates a draft job description just by inputting the job title and company name. This helps save time and makes it easier to write job postings.

That's all for today! If you’re looking to accelerate your business growth with AI:
